Mission Opportunities

Missions are good. Really good. In fact, they're essential. Remember that time when Jesus is talking to Peter? "Peter, do you love me?" "Yes, Lord, you know I do." "Then feed my sheep." It's important to Christ that we take care of those He loves. Why? The answer is that we ARE the body of Christ. All through the Bible we are told that Christ is alive inside of us, so if we believe that is true, then of course we will care about the things Christ cares about. We travel within our country and around the globe, joining God at work as we meet practical needs and make lasting relationships while sharing the Gospel through word and deed.

And there's more. Missions are opportunities for tremendous spiritual growth. Why? Mainly because we are forced out of our comfort zones and need to rely completely on God for our strength, our motivation, our abilities. We learn that when we place our trust wholly in God, He comes through in amazing ways. The life we experience while we join God at work teaches us so much about His character and His Kingdom. We believe that stepping out of our norms and trusting God brings about a change in our hearts, teaching us more about how Christ is alive inside of us.
